My work investigates the tension between the constructed self and the essential self - between the persona we present and the forces beneath the surface.
I focus on the dual structure of human existence: the horizontal plane of identity, desire, and social presence, and the vertical pull toward inner awareness and transcendence. These dimensions coexist within us, yet rarely align.
My elongated, often androgynous figures inhabit this threshold. They have no faces, avoiding preformed impressions and allowing the viewer to engage directly with the work and form their own interpretations.
The figures are half-human, half-surreal, existing between reality and what we consider unreality. I leave that boundary open for the viewer to explore and question.
