Artist Statement

My work explores the tension between the constructed self and the essential self — between who we appear to be and what moves beneath the surface.

I am drawn to the dual structure of human existence: the horizontal plane of identity, desire, and social presence, and the vertical pull toward inner awareness and transcendence. These two dimensions coexist within us, yet they rarely align.

My elongated, often androgynous figures inhabit this threshold. Suspended in minimal, dreamlike spaces, they appear composed yet subtly divided — balancing performance and authenticity, control and surrender, visibility and silence.

Through aesthetic surrealism, I create quiet psychological arenas where these opposing forces converge, revealing the fragile equilibrium that shapes human consciousness.
